The American Physical Society (APS) is a nonprofit organization composed of professionals in physics and related fields, organized into almost fifty divisions, sections, and specialized units. Its mission is to promote and disseminate knowledge in physics. APS publishes over a dozen renowned scientific journals, such as Physical Review and Physical Review Letters, and hosts more than twenty scientific conferences annually. As a member society of the American Institute of Physics, APS has been under the leadership of CEO Jonathan Bagger since January 2021.
